All glow.
No fog.

Ethanol is the buzz.
Congeners are the leftovers.

Congeners are the extra compounds that fermentation and aging leave behind. They add flavor and color to some drinks, and your body has to process them along with the alcohol. Darker, aged drinks tend to carry more. Clear, distilled spirits carry fewer.

SunGod starts with a neutral grain spirit and gets its flavor from real fruit instead.

What do you usually drink?

Tap a drink, or slide the sun toward it, and watch the glass cloud up.

Fewer congenersMore congeners

Turns out, it's the congeners.

We start with a neutral grain spirit and use real fruit for flavor. All sun. No shade. Less in it. More to it.

The order follows commonly cited research on congener content. It is a comparison of drink types, not a health claim.

Questions

If yours isn't here, ask us. A person answers.

Ask us
01 What is Hardwater?

A new kind of alcoholic drink: spring water, a neutral grain spirit and real organic juice, with no carbonation. 5% alcohol by volume in a 12 oz can.

02 Is it a seltzer?

No. Seltzers are carbonated. Hardwater is still, no bubbles at all. Think of a vodka soda without the soda, and with real fruit instead of a flavor packet.

03 How strong is it?

5% alcohol by volume, about the same as a light beer. Easy to sip over an afternoon.

04 Where does the water come from?

Palomar Mountain, in San Diego County. Most canned drinks use city water. We went to a mountain.

05 Is it organic?

Yes. Every ingredient is certified organic, and the can carries the USDA Organic seal. No preservatives, no artificial flavors or sweeteners.

06 What are congeners?

The compounds that fermentation and aging leave behind in a drink, besides the alcohol itself. Darker, aged spirits carry more of them. We start with a neutral grain spirit, which carries very few, and use fruit for flavor.

07 Do I need to shake it?

A gentle turn before you open it. It is real juice, so it settles a little in the can.

08 Where can I buy it?

At stores and bars across San Diego and Southern California, and online with shipping to the states that allow it. Enter your zip below and we will point you to the closest one.
